Am I allowed to have more than one caregiver stay with me at a time? We have three rooms designated as handicap accessible; however, all of our rooms are accessible. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves in common/public areas as well as for the general cleaning of their rooms during the course of their stay. After the Hope Lodge has received the referral form you will be contacted directly by Hope Lodge staff concerning availability for your requested arrival date. All Hope Lodges are supported and funded through donated time and money.
No, we only allow the guest and one registered support person to stay at the Hope Lodge. Hope Lodge guests are responsible for their visitors while at the Lodge. If I go home or travel on the weekends, do I lose my room? As long as you are still receiving ongoing cancer treatment you do not need to check out of the Lodge. Residency at a Hope Lodge facility is a courtesy extended at the sole discretion of American Cancer Society.
Training, ongoing education and support are provided by the Compeer staff.
The guests of the Hope Lodge have access to a wide variety of cancer programs and services that provide information, resources, and support to ease the cancer journey.
However, your support person can change during your stay. Children are welcome to visit at the Lodge on the main floor, however only registered adult guests are allowed to stay overnight at the Lodge. All individuals who meet the Hope Lodge eligibility requirements will be welcomed regardless of race, creed, citizenship, physical disability, gender, color, ethnic heritage, veteran status, economic status, or sexual orientation.
For admissions information, please select a Hope Lodge location.
You may either bring your groceries with you or you can do you grocery shopping once you get to the area. Guests are responsible for laundering their sheets and towels as needed during their stay. If you would like to bring your own computer, you are able to access a secure wireless network on the main floor of the Lodge.
We would be happy to suggest grocery stores for your shopping. If you do not have wireless capabilities, please bring a data cable to hook up to the Ethernet port in your guest room. Your physician, or a member of your cancer health care team, will need to fill out a Hope Lodge referral form.
After this time, managers should evaluate the guest’s situation with the referral source to determine if a longer stay is needed.
